State Library Qld Young Writers Award competition

The State Library Queensland runs an annual Young Writers Award competition.  If you know of any young writers who might be interested in entering, please pass this information onto them.

The short story competition is open to Queenslanders aged 18-25 with a cash prize of $2,000. The Young Writers Award winner, first runner-up and four highly commended entries each receive prize packs.

      Hi Gabrielle. I guess so. Someone from the State library only sent me this email a day or so ago, asking if I would share this on my blog. So don’t really know when it first ‘went to air.’

    yes. we have this in south australia too. it has been going for many years. I was chief judge for it one year. it would be interesting to track what happens to the winners of these awards
